We offer some traditional Locksmith services to homeowners and businesses. We can open just about anything that is locked. So if you get locked out of your home or business, or have a file cabinet, padlock or safe you can't unlock, we can certainly help you with that. Most of what we do is rekey, repin and repair mechanical locks. The latch portion is usually the first thing that goes. We keep an inventory with variety of replacement latches. If it's not the latch and cannot be repaired, we can install new locks for you as well. If your security needs are more advanced, we can supply you with mechanical or electronic high security locks, restricted keyways, interchangeable Core systems (like Assa, Best/Falcon, Schlage, etc) even multi-level masterkey systems.
If you are having trouble with your safe, we can help with that. We can often open a safe without having to resort to drilling, but in some cases drilling is the only option. Many mechanical safe locks can be serviced and the combination can be reset or changed if your combination is lost or compromised.
We have teamed up with national partners like Alarm.com to offer our customers the best in electronic security and automation for any home or business. The Alarm.com platform provides UL rated fire and burglar alarm monitoring with home automation via a built-in Z-Wave controller that allows our customers to have remote access to the system where they can turn on or off lights, lock/unlock doors, open garage doors, adjust the HVAC thermostat settings and allows for monitoring of fire, smoke, freeze and water-leak detection. All from a single smartphone app or computer terminal!
We also sell, install and service camera systems. We only use commercial-grade equipment and offer a warranty from 3 to 5 years on all systems!
In the old days, before my time, locksmiths made a lot of keys and worked on the locks used in cars and trucks, motorcycles, boats and RV's. My Dad started as an automotive locksmith in 1988 because of his background as an airframe and Powerplant Mechanic. But he stopped working on cars and trucks around 2015 because the industry had suddenly changed so much that "automotive locksmith" had become a full-time specialty. It's just not simple anymore. There are so many different vehicle locks and programming requirements now that most technicians who have the equipment to work on vehicle locking systems don't have time for anything else. This is why we refer these jobs to an full-time automotive locksmith in our area.
While we do not work on car locks or generate and program automotive keys, we still can open many cars and trucks if you are simply locked out. When it comes to boats, motorcycles and RV's, for the time being, we can still generate keys for some of them. It just depends on the year, make and model. Motorcycles are going the same way auto and trucks did. The newer models require special tools, programming equipment and a large inventory of parts and key blanks that are specific to each model. So we do fewer and fewer motorcycle keys as time marches on.
Boats are not progressing along the same lines as autos/trucks, motorcycles and RV's. While there are a lot more different types of ignition locks used on boats now compared to 20 years ago, they are still very basic. Sadly many popular boats now have locks that are mostly made of soft plastic. Generating a key without a key code - which is usually not available - requires impressioning (making the key by hand filing it) which will not work effectively on these cheap plastic locks. So try not to lose your boat key, especially if it has a black plastic housing.
